VALENCE PRODUCTS AND SOLUTIONS

MICROWAVE BACKHAUL & WIRELESS TRANSPORT

Valence Mission Critical Technologies provides microwave backhaul and wireless transport solutions for public safety, local government, utility, commercial, and mission-critical communications customers across the Pacific Northwest. Our team supports licensed and unlicensed wireless links used to connect radio sites, dispatch facilities, remote buildings, network equipment, monitoring systems, and other critical infrastructure.

Reliable Connectivity When Other Mediums Are Not Practical

Microwave systems remain an important option when customers need dependable connectivity between locations where fiber or other transport is unavailable, delayed, cost-prohibitive, or impractical to install. A properly designed microwave link can provide point-to-point transport for IP traffic, radio system backhaul, dispatch connectivity, monitoring data, voice services, and other operational network needs.

Valence can assist with microwave path planning, equipment selection, frequency coordination support, link budgeting, installation, alignment, configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and ongoing service. Our experience with radio sites, dispatch systems, tower environments, grounding, networking, and field service allows us to approach microwave projects as part of the larger communications system — not just as a standalone link.

Microwave Platforms We Support

Aviat Networks Microwave

Aviat is Valence’s primary microwave platform for licensed, mission-critical backhaul applications. Aviat systems are well suited for public safety, government, utility, and communications-site connectivity where reliability, performance, and long-term support matter.

Applications may include:

  • Public safety radio-site backhaul
  • Dispatch and communications-site connectivity
  • Licensed point-to-point microwave links
  • Network extension to remote facilities
  • Replacement or upgrade of aging microwave systems
  • High-capacity IP transport between critical sites

Solectek Wireless Links

Valence can continue to support Solectek where it remains appropriate for specific applications, existing customer systems, or unlicensed wireless connectivity needs. Solectek may be a fit for certain point-to-point or point-to-multipoint applications where the technical requirements, distance, spectrum environment, and budget align.

Applications may include:

  • Building-to-building connectivity
  • Local network extension
  • Unlicensed wireless links
  • Existing Solectek system support
  • Lower-capacity or limited-scope applications

Microwave Services May Include

  • Microwave path review and link planning
  • Licensed and unlicensed microwave system support
  • Equipment selection and upgrade planning
  • Link budget review and performance expectations
  • Frequency coordination and licensing support coordination
  • Antenna, waveguide, cabling, and grounding coordination
  • Installation, alignment, turn-up, and testing
  • IP configuration and network integration
  • Troubleshooting of degraded or failed links
  • Documentation, maintenance, and long-term support

Part of the Larger Communications System

Microwave links often support radio systems, dispatch environments, remote site monitoring, IP-connected equipment, and public-safety communications infrastructure. Valence understands how these systems interact and can help customers plan microwave solutions that account for network design, site conditions, power, grounding, tower work, equipment access, and long-term maintainability.
Our goal is to provide microwave systems that are practical, serviceable, and appropriate for the customer’s operational needs — whether the project involves a new link, an aging system replacement, a performance issue, or an expansion of an existing communications network.
